Jakob är analytiker vid Centrum för Östeuropastudier (SCEEUS).
Jakob Hedenskog kom till SCEEUS 2021 från Totalförsvarets forskningsinstitut (FOI). Han har mångårig erfarenhet av att studera Ryssland och Östereuropa, i synnerhet Ukraina, Belarus, Moldavien och länderna i Sydkaukasien (Armenien, Azerbajdzjan och Georgien). Jakob har en magisterexamen i slaviska språk och statsvetenskap med inriktning på Östeuropa från Uppsala universitet. Han har tidigare också bland annat arbetat på UD med placering på ambassaden i Kiev.
