On Thursday, 15 May, SCEEUS hosted a film screening together with Fri Tanke and Jens von Bahr. The film, a documentary titled Antidote, follows Bellingcat journalist Christo Grozev who has exposed several of the Russian regime’s murder plots. Antidote is a raw and timely depiction of the Putin regime’s escalating persecution of political opponents and investigative journalists.

The screening was followed by a panel discussion where both Christo Grozev, Emmy-award winning producer of Antidote James Jones, and SCEEUS deputy director Charlotte Rodhe participated. Additionally, UN Special Rapporteur on the human rights situation in Russia Mariana Katzarova spoke on the panel. The panelists discussed the various security threats that Grozev continues to face, the overall human rights situation in Russia, and the future of Russia. It was moderated by journalist Maria Georgieva.
