About EPIK
EPIK is a European think tank that aims to help integrate Ukraine into the EU and support Ukraine in implementing the necessary reforms. EPIK is the first foreign think tank of this kind to open in Kyiv.
EPIK invites political analysts from Ukraine and across Europe who work in Kyiv to give Ukrainan and international fellows a chance to collect first-hand insights, be deeply immersed in the local context, and gain easier access to Ukrainian decision-makers and civil society experts. Through engagement in research and advocacy projects, they will gain a better understanding of local perspectives and grow their expertise in the Eastern Europe region.
Officially launched on 31 March 2026, EPIK aims in its first year to host 10 policy fellows from Ukraine and other European countries. Five of those will be visiting policy fellows who come to Kyiv for longer or shorter stays.
EPIK will serve as a gateway for decision-makers – both in Ukraine and across Europe – to expertise on Ukraine and innovative ideas to inform policymaking on Ukraine’s EU accession and European security issues.
EPIK and SCEEUS
EPIK is established by the Swedish Institute of International Affairs through its Stockholm Centre for Eastern European Studies. It is co-funded by the European Union and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).
