Prospects for US-Russia Strategic Stability

The Stockholm Centre for Eastern European Studies (SCEEUS) at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs (UI) and the Swedish Pugwash in collaboration with the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) and the Swedish Defence Research Agency (FOI) invited to a discussion on US-Russia strategic stability issues, including future risk reduction measures, nuclear and conventional arms control, and military confidence building.

What are the prospects for US-Russian cooperation on these issues and what could we realistically expect from the US-Russia Summit on  June 16?  What are the strategic consequences, globally and for Europe? What are the security implications  of new technologies, such as hypersonic weapons, for the traditional division between strategic and non-strategic issues?
